We are all well here. We just returned from two weeks in Hawaii, our first time we have been there. We went with our daughter Karen, her husband Rafal and their 2 daughters, Kaia (6) and Alia (3). It was a long planned vacation in celebration of our retirement! We had a wonderful time and great weather. Ron and I look forward to being able to spend time with them in the future. They live 6 hours away in the suburbs of Chicago (close to where my mom Toni and Carlton lived). We have a house in Wisconsin on a small lake that we enjoy very much. It is only 1 hour away from Karen and family and so we see them more often in the summer. The granddaughters enjoy the lake and they are learning to water ski.
I am glad to hear Margrit is doing well! It was good to talk with her around Christmas time. Our second vacation this year is to Scandinavia! Sorry it is not CH! But Ron and I have wanted to go for many years. After flying into Stockholm, we will visit the area where his relatives are from in Sweden near Vaxjo. We will also stay with a friend for a few days near Alingsas. Then we go to Oslo and on to Bergen. The trip is the end of August and the first week of September.
