Happy Fall from USA!

>> Katrin and Margrit >> >> We have everything out of the garden and the weather has turned much cooler. There are still some leaves on the trees, but not many. We did a trip to Scandinavia at the end of August/beginning of September. We started in Stockholm and then drove to the area in southern Sweden where Ron’s mother’s family was from. We have a family tree that starts in 1818! We learned about the Swedish Emigration in the 1800’s when 20 percent of the population left Sweden and came mostly to USA. So many people!! We also visited a farmer we know who farms near Goteborg. From Sweden we went to Copenhagen, then Oslo and then on a train to Bergen. We enjoyed Bergen very much and we saw a friend of Karen’s who lives in Rosendal, 2 hours by boat away from Bergen. She has been there several years with a partner and 2 young girls. It was fun to see her and to learn about her life in Norway. >> >> We will go to Karen’s house twice this month, first for a birthday party for Kaia who turns 7 and her dad, Rafal. Then we will go for the Thanksgiving celebration at the end of the month. Meanwhile Ron and I have started by plan a trip to CH for 2026! We will come in September. Right now I am planning several days in Zurich. We hope to be able to see you and also to visit my cousins. I will let you know what we decide. >> >> I also hope we can schedule a time to talk to you on Facetime!!! Please let us know what works. >> >> Love from Susan and Ron
