Right now, we do work from home and Ron does work more than me! I take care of many bills and taxes from our work as well as personal bills, etc. I am able to take care of the food shopping, etc. in a more relaxed fashion than when we were working full time. And I am able to cook more! Most days that makes me happy, but if I am tired or not feeling like making something, I can always reach into the freezer for a meal! >> >> You may understand that for 10 years (!!!) we have had a second home in Wisconsin on a lake. We are now able to spend more time there. This past summer, we tried to be there for two weeks and then back in Iowa for two weeks. I was even able to keep a very small garden of some tomatoes and herbs in Wisconsin. Since Karen and her family are one hour away, we can see them on the weekends. Kaia is 7 years old and Alia is 4 years old. They like the water, the boat and are learning to water ski. >> >> I want you all to know that we are planning to visit in September. I have not bought airplane tickets, but I probably will right after the first of the year. We plan to arrive Zurich on the 11th and we will stay for 5 days there. So we have the weekend of September 12 and 13, plus Monday and Tuesday. Don’t worry, we don’t plan to take four days of your time!! I have thought about day trips to Basel, Schaffhausen/Rheinfalls, etc. We will continue our trip to the French part of the country. Right now, I am planning to stay in Fribourg and Montreux. Then it’s on to Grindelwald and one day in Luzern. >> >> I will let you know for sure what we decide! We also hope we continue in good health! Katrin, we are surely able to take the train to Wettingen and walk to Altenburgstrasse! I have done it many times! We will do whatever is easiest for Margrit. To Hans and Hanni, the same applies to your family! We will do whatever makes people happy. My SBB app will be my favorite thing on my phone! >> >> We will leave next Sunday the 21st for our Christmas activities. We plan on seeing friends in the Chicago area, helping with Christmas Eve and Christmas day at Karen’s home and then we all we go to Indiana to visit another piece of Ron’s family. It looks like we will drive home on Monday the 29th and be able to relax for New Year’s. >> >> Merry Christmas to all! >> Ron and Susan >> >>
